Wind Armor location in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
A major problem in the world of Breath of Wild, some will say, was the lack of Link’s iconic green garb. Instead, Link wears — believe it or not — the color Blue. This problem continues into Tears of the Kingdom – The Legend of ZeldaBut fear not brave style police because there is no need to worry. Wind ArmorNote: This only fixes the one problem.
Technically, you can get Wind Armor into Tears of Kingdom via amiibo, but if you don’t have the right figurine(s), you can find it the old-school way. It’s easy to find. Tears of KingdomWind Armor Guide will guide you to all the pieces in the Wind Armor set. Cap of the windThe Tunic of WindThe. Trousers of Wind.
Wind Armor Head Piece Location
Old Maps are found in chests on the Sky Islands. These maps will tell you how to get each armor piece. These are helpful if you’re playing the game without a guide, but are by no means essential if you just want to beeline it over to the Wind Armor and skip the busywork.
The first such piece — which we found without a map — can be found under Davdi IslandOn the east side of Hyrule. The chasm of Tingel Island is the only way to get there.

Start at the Ulri Mountain Skyview TowerYou can launch yourself up into the sky and fly slightly to the south in order to reach the Natak Shrine. You should position yourself at the East side of Sky Island. The archipelago is to the South of the Sand Swirl. The north island is the one you want to reach.

As you glide down, keep an eye out for the red of the chasm. After landing, you should save your energy before jumping into the crack that will reveal the chasm.

Once you’re ready, dive down. As soon as you notice the fires burning below, prepare to shoot. brightbloom seeds. This is the biggest fight you’ll get into down here, and it’s right next to a cliff, so you’ll want to be able to see what you’re doing.

After you have defeated the Bokoblins, Silver Moblins, and other enemies in the way, prepare to make the journey over to Davdi Island. At this point, there are two things you should note.
1. It is an excellent place to find Deep Fireflies. Equip your Stealth Armor to go on the hunt.
2. It is strange that the Lightroot which illuminates the entire area does not exist in this region.
If you came here hoping for a Lightroot, like we did, be aware that there is an exploit that allows you to see where you’re going. If you open your map, you’ll be staring at the graph-paper background of the missing map. The ground-level view is accessed by pressing the up key on the D pad. The Hyrule mini map will appear if you go back to the previous screen.

We used this to both orientate ourselves and find the bridges between islands — bizarrely, you have to follow the same path to get to Davdi Island underground!
Head to the southernmost point of this chamber and you’ll see a destructible wall. Use a Yunobo, or the hammer to knock it down.
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
Once it’s destroyed, go through the corridor that mirrors the bridge above.
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
The moment you notice the Large poe, you’ll be at the end of the corridor — stop and fire off some seeds to light the way. In the lower chambers (and beneath Ankel Island), you’ll find a few enemies of low level (Keese). These enemies are not a real threat, but more of an inconvenience. Look past the wall and continue on to find another one. (4669, 0989, -0670). This one is a bit more difficult to spot, so don’t worry if it takes a minute.

Get through the corridor and head to Chamber 3: Knuckel Island. The last wall that you must break in order to get to the end goal is here. Stop at the edge of the cliff, fire off some seeds, and look to the right — you should see a similar wall, except this time it’s blue, signifying that you need to hit it that little bit harder. Instead of using your The bomb flowerTell Yunobo that you want to destroy it. You’ll need those in a minute

Take a hold of anything that falls!

You should now be below Davdi island. It’s really difficult to miss the chest — something seems amiss…

Gloom Hands! The Sage of Lightning, along with bombing flowers will quickly eliminate this last enemy. Then on down and take your hard-earned loot — the Cap of the Wind, which grants +3 defense.

Wind Armor chest pieces
The Wind Armor Head Piece may have taken a lot of effort to secure, but the Tunic of WindIt is easy to get there. Enter the Hyrule Ridge Chasm west of Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower (north of Mount Rhoam). The Tunic will be due west from here. However, we must take a slight detour.
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
Find the Oromuwak Shrine in the northwest corner of your map (this is likely where you will start your quest for Lucky Clover Gazette). Place a pin and click down to reveal the Depths. That’s the Kawumoro Lightroot, and your next destination.
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
You will see a Blue Hinox on your left when you leave lightroot’s safety. Feel free to ignore it, but be aware that it’s there.
After activating the second lightroot you’ll notice the path splits to the south-west. Turning to the right, take the fork on your left. You will find another lightroot in distance if you continue in this direction. Halfway between the chest and that lightroot, you’ll find a chest.

Continue in this direction to find the Cuho Canyon Mine. If you don’t have the Old Map showing where the treasure is, you will spot the glow of the dual lamps in the distance, to the right. That’s the chest; aim for that.

As a result, they glow in the dark. As you can see, you don’t need lightroots to find treasure: in this case, the Tunic of the Wind, which grants +3 defense.

Wind Armor leg piece location
It is important to note that the word “you” means a person. Trousers of Wind — the final piece of the set — is probably the longest of the three to get to, so make sure you go into this one prepared. Begin at the Rabella Skyview Tower, and then look to the north for the Meda Mountain chasm.
Drop down the gap, launch yourself and glide to the north. As you’re falling, watch the final coordinate as it rapidly decreases. It will get to -0400Open your glider, and turn west. At -0475Then you’ll see it. Yikot Lightroot pop into view. Take aim at that.

At this point, it’s good to check where you’re eventually going — the tip of Soka Point underground. If you haven’t hit the lightroot under Eventide Island, you’ll be doing the last bit in the dark, so remember the exploit to see the above-ground map underground.

Now, it’s time to start the Mimufis Lightroot — directly below the Sifumim Shrine outside Lurelin Village (the pirate one from the “Ruffian-Infested Village” questline). You can find this by heading southeast. If you’ve already nabbed the Hero Armor, there’s a chance you’ve been here previously.

This lightroot will allow us to illuminate the entire map. We visited the Lurelin Mine abandonedThe obvious Yiga Clan Plant was found on the map.

Kotimab Lightroot clearly visible at the top.

Almost directly south of you is a little hut with a chest in it — don’t get overexcited, you’re not there yet, but do grab the Crystallized large charge while you’re passing by.
The brown octagon to the south shows Zonai’s device repository. This guide will help you reach your trousers using only the batteries you have.
You’ll need to create a car from whatever materials you have. Grab both batteries and drive south (past the annoying Little Frox enemies) towards the obvious threat looming overhead — the menacing light of the Flux Construct 3.
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
You’ll eventually hit a wall — the Flux fight is on the usual raised platform. What to do?
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
Once that’s done, go grab your car and flip it onto its end. This will give you the height you need to Ultrahand it once you’re back on top of the fight platform.
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
Continue along the path, keeping an eye on your mini-map. You will eventually reach another repository. Here you need to transform the car into a hovercraft. So, remove the wheels, grab the extra batteries, and then turn it back around using the fans. Note the headlights on the front — there’s an Octorok in the water, and you’ll want to see where you’re shooting Yunobo to kill it.
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon
The final stretch! After you’ve defeated the Octorok, it is time to enjoy your leisurely journey over to the chest. The half-battery we had left was enough to get us there! When you see the dual lights, you know you’ve reached your goal.

Hop off your hovercraft and nab your loot — the final piece of your outfit: the +3 defense Trousers of the Wind.
