Hero Armor location in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Link’s wardrobe has changed many times over the years but it is always inspired by the original green outfit worn in 1983. You can bring Link to his origins by finding the original green outfit. Hero Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of Zelda.

Technically, you can get the Hero Armor by purchasing it online. Tears of Kingdom via amiibo, but if you don’t have any figurines, you can also find it by scouring the Depths. Hero Armor head piece location
Old Maps are found in chests on the Sky Islands. These are helpful if you’re playing the game without a guide, but no means essential if you just want to beeline it over to the armor. We will give you the necessary directions to reach the armor without having to stop to grab the treasure map.
Cap of the HeroFind out more about the Tuft Canyon MineEast Necluda Depths, under Tuft Mountain just to the east of Yambi Lake (2518, -3602, -0626). The closest gap is Meda Mountain ChasmThis is an easy trek from the north.
Commence at the beginning Rabella Wetlands Skyview TowerContinue north until you reach the entrance point.
Assuming you’ve never been to this part of the Depths before, the Yikot Lightroot is immediately west of you — there’s lava here, however, so make sure you’ve something that grants you fire resistance if you want to go exploring!
You’ll need to return to the Yikot Lightroot later in your search for the Hero Armor, so make sure you activate it.
Next, we’re heading to the Mimufis Lightroot — if you’ve already nabbed the Wind Armor, there’s a chance that you have been here on the way to pick up the Trousers of the Wind. If so, you can teleport directly there.
If you don’t, continue to the southeast. Keep the black blobs (to the south) on your left. Turn south once you pass the second blob and start your journey to Mimufis lightroot. If it helps, it’s the opposite of the Sifumim ShrineLocate the area aboveground on the map. Click the “down” button to pin that location.
Just outside of the Lurelin Mine abandoned. To your southwest, you’ll see a dark splotch on the edge of the visible map. That’s the Ancient Observation Deck — a short climb up the wall will get you there.
This is the best place to find poes for bargainer statues. There’s also a chest with a large crystallized charge in the big room to the southwest (it’s really hard to miss), which is always welcome!
From here, it’s a short walk to the Tuft Canyon Mine. You can see two lights at the tops of the concrete columns, which indicate that there is treasure in the depths.
If you’re struggling to locate it, the chest is opposite the large Zonai deposit, at (2518, -3602, -0626). Come and get the Cap of the Hero. You’ll get a +3 base defense stat with your fancy, new cap.
Hero Armor chest piece location
The Hero’s Tunic is a bit of a slog to reach, especially if you’re trying to access it from the south. Under the Dueling Peaks, in the northern part of the map you will find the chest that contains your treasure. Dueling Cayons MineYou can also check out our other articles. (1285, -1811, -0784). The river which flows through the canyon is also mirrored as an impenetrable massif below.
We have another walk ahead of us (or feet?The nearest Chasm to us is located at the East Hill ChasmThe northeastern part of Kakariko Village. Fortunately, if you’re following this guide, you will have already hit the Yikot Lightroot picking up the Cap. Now, head back to the Yikot Lightroot.
You will see the Rozudo Canyon Mine. On the path to our destination, you can do a number of optional activities. (2390, -2195, 0556). Take it, if that’s what you desire.
Keep the mountain on your right as you continue north. Turn left when you reach the end of your black wall (or simply turn to the left).
Optional: you’re about to pass the Secluded Coliseum, home inside to another rare treasure item (and one that really just screams Bob’s Burgers). You can pick it up by killing Lizaflos of all kinds. Ravio’s HoodThis gives you increased speed of traversal.
If you want to reach the Secluded Colossus, simply head straight west.
You will find a mining area with enemies that is well-lit as you travel west. It’s a great place to save and stop. But, you should always take out the bad guys first.
Watch your footing, as you’re at the top of a yawning great mine — the Dueling Canyons Mine, specifically. You’ll need two Stamina wheel to make it. You can either pay attention to your coordinates — you’re aiming for (1285, -1811, X) — and then drop, or wait for the following banner to pop up. You should either be over the chest or below it.
You can open the treasure chest once you’ve landed. You’ll get the The Hero’s TunicThis (probably) familiar-looking game (certainly) has +3 defence.
Hero Armor leg piece location
We then search for the trousers that are hiding in our pockets. Corvash Canyon Mine (-3354, 2312, 0812). It is located under Corvash Peak just to the south of Sahirow Shrine. There are two ways to reach this — neither are particularly close, however.
Nearest chasm: Hyrule Ridge ChasmThe west Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. Alternatively, there’s the Drenan Highlands ChasmJust west of the Typhlo Ruins Skyview Tower. We went for the latter option because climbing mountains can be a pain and there’s optional side-loot this way.
To get to Hyrule Ridge Canyon via the Kawumoro Lightroot, turn northeast and head to Kawumoro Lightroot, located under the Oromuwak Shrine. Continue on the same path, then take the narrow passage east of Abandoned Mine Hebra. Corvash Canyon Mine lies to the north.
You can find a flat route by heading to the Drena chasm. There’s a terrifying, gloom-wreathed King Gleeok northeast of you, so don’t go that way. The Nikakik Lighting Root is located at the Drena Canyon Mine’s top level (below Kikakin Shrine).
Stay north and head east. If you fancy hitting a Bargainer Statue, there is one right at the top of the cliff, next to the Yisuayam Lightroot, but that defeats the object of going the relatively flat route… Anyway, keep going until you hit the Muihcoro Lightroot.
From here it’s due west until you hit the Yiga Clan base under Talonto Peak, but if you’re yet to illuminate the area, head for Aduon Lightroot at (-2316, 2203, -0781). It should be visible from a distance. Pin it on your way over.
If you click on this Lightroot you’ll see the screen above with a black, impenetrable barrier to the left. The north end of the wall is where you should head.
As you head west, a huge pit will appear. You will see the Yiga Clan with a foot soldier hovering around. This may seem tricky, but don’t take the bait and go for a dogfight — a Keese eyeball Fused to an arrow will one-shot them and unlock the door of their base. Take the base and loot it for valuables. large Crystallized charge, Yiga Schematic (Floodlights).
You’re almost there. You’re almost there. 3133, 2639, -0888. Search for Worihas Lightroot. Once you see it, you’re basically on the home stretch.
Just a couple of steps away is the Corvash Canyon Mine. Grab the last piece of the collection: the Trousers of the Hero. These pants have a +3 in defense.

Hero Armor set bonuses and cost of upgrading to Hero Armor
With all three pieces of the Hero Armor equipped, you’ll now have the full set of base level (Level 0) Hero armor. They each have +3 defense for a total 9 but they can be upgraded by +20 defense per piece. However, they cannot be colored (though this should not surprise anyone).
Each stage of the upgrade list is fairly simple as it only requires different quantities of items. Hero Armor includes the Attack UpThe set bonus sounds exactly like it does.
- For you to reach Level 1 and increase your defense by 2 points, you will need Ruby and Star Fragment per piece.
- For Level 2, you will need: The 4 Rubies and Star Fragment per piece.
- You need to reach Level 3 in order to increase your defense by another 4. Six rubies with 1 star fragment per piece.
- You need to have Level 4 to get the highest defense possible, which is 20. Ten rubies plus 1 star fragment per piece.
The Hero Armor upgrade costs 63 rubies plus 12 star fragments, as well as 2,280 rupees.
