The Portal Games Are Coming To Switch

Valve’s iconic puzzlers Portal and Portal 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch as revealed today at Nintendo Direct. 

Portal Companion Collection looks like it will contain both of these games. Except for the new platform, the brief announcement trailer didn’t reveal any other content. However, the idea of playing Portal games on a handheld device seems new.

No release date was given for Companion Collection, though the trailer did announce the games will be released “this year.” 

The Companion Collection, which is Valve’s first game released on Nintendo platforms, will be a surprise to many. The timing is somewhat coincidental, since Valve’s own Switch-like console, the Steam Deck, is set to launch in a couple of weeks.
