Naughty Dog’s development team explains the major changes that can be expected from The Last of Us Part I. It is a PlayStation 5 high-end remake. The video shows how it all came together. Naughty Dog has updated most gameplay and visuals, so the story is essentially the same.

Players can also expect smooth transitions between sequences and enhanced buddy A.I. as well as more broken objects during combat and accessibility features.

A new permadeath mode allows you to test your endurance and see how far you get before you die. Naughty Dog also offers a speed running mode that will show how fast players can complete the story.

You can earn new unlockables by revisiting the game, such as outfits for Joel and Ellie or a model viewer. Part 1 of the Last of Us is due to be available on PlayStation 5 or PC in September.
