SDCC 2022: National Treasure Edge of History cast adds Harvey Keitel

This is the absurd and yet charming National Treasure Since 2007, the franchise has been mostly unfinished, waiting for stars to align. Bruckheimer revealed to Collider, two years earlier, that he was currently working on a third film. A TV spinoff. It was titled National Treasure, Edge of History Offers a younger take on treasure hunter. Disney Plus, which was announced Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con 20022 that it will be bringing back Harvey Keitel (fame veteran)

Keitel starred as Keitel in National Treasure Book of Secrets: The National Treasure Peter Sadusky is a well-respected FBI agent, who loves Benjamin Gates (Cage), and who also has a fondness for his fellow history buff, Peter. The premiere date for this series of 10 episodes is unknown. Keitel will play the same role. The actor’s been dabbling in TV of late: He recently wrapped Mike, a Hulu series about Mike Tyson, and also appeared in Netflix’s The Irishman.

Edge of History will open a new chapter in the franchise — where the 2004 and 2007 movies center on Gates, the TV series will follow Jess Morales (Lisette Olivera), a 20-something DREAMer who also loves puzzles and riddles. The series, written by Marianne Wibberley, Cormac Wibberley, and directed by Mira Nair will examine the intersection of patriotism and identity.

It also features Jordan Rodrigues and Zuri Reed as well as Antonio Cipriano and Catherine Zeta Jones. Even more faces are mixed in: Justin Bartha (who plays Riley Poole) and the Wibberleys created the first two movies. National TreasureMovies, Cage is to be a guest-star. Here’s hoping Cage was able to find the time to play mentor to this new group.
