Super Mario Bros. Movie Gets New Poster

A teaser trailer was released earlier in the week for Super Mario Bros. Movie. We were able to see Cat Mario in action and Donkey Kong reacting. Today, Universal, Illumination, Nintendo and Nintendo unveiled the movie poster for Super Mario Bros. Movie.

This poster gives us a glimpse at the main cast, which includes Mario, Luigi and Toad. The film’s apparent conflict also shows us the two worlds: the Darkness of Bowser Castle juxtaposed with the Bright and Joyful Mushroom kingdom. Even though nobody is quite like Toad or Donkey Kong, all the characters on this poster are at least smiling.

Super Mario Bros. Movie stars an all-star Hollywood cast, including Chris Pratt (Mario), Charlie Day (Luigi), Anya Taylor-Joy (Peach), Keegan–Michael Key (“Toad”), Jack Black (“Bowser”), Seth Rogen (Donkey Kong) and Fred Armisen (“Cranky Kong”). Charles Martinet is Mario’s game voice actor. We know this because he will be appearing in the film.

To date, only character-focused posters were released for the movie. This was on top of the teaser poster which preceded the original movie trailer. You can view every character and teaser poster for Super Mario Bros. Movie here if you didn’t get them.
