Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition Brings New Story Content And Third-Person Mode

Resident Evil Village made a surprise return during today’s Capcom Showcase. Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil Village sold more than six million copies around the world. Now, a Gold Edition will be available, featuring a variety of noteworthy additions. Shadows of Rose is the first story expansion. This puts Rose at the forefront of a mind-bending adventure of discovery.

Rose, the child of Ethan is shown in this story. She is either in her teens, or early twenties. It is clear that she struggles with her powers from the very beginning. In an attempt to manage her powers, she goes into the Megamycete’s mind and there is madness. When time and space is altered, she meets someone exactly the same as her. This is the entire story from the third-person point of view.

Capcom has added a new perspective to the core game. Players will be able to see Ethan, and feel the game in a similar way to Resident Evil 4’s over-the shoulder aiming.

Mercenaries mode continues to be expanded with more missions and characters such as Alcina Dimitrescu, Chris Redfield and Karl Heisenberg. Lady Dimitrescu measures in at nine feet.

Resident Evil Village will not require you to buy the Gold Edition. Instead, all you need is to obtain the Winter’s Expansion which includes all three additional content. Capcom will release this content October 28.
