No More Heroes 3 Brings Earth’s Top Assassin To More Platforms This Fall
Travis Touchdown’s most recent adventure from the minds of Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture, No More Heroes 3 has been a Switch exclusive since it was released. But as of today, that all changes because Xseed has announced it’s bringing NMH3 to more platforms this fall.
According to Xseed Games’ tweet, No More Heroes 3 is coming to PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4 Xbox One. The announcement includes an image that shows what appears to be collector’s editions of the console versions. These expanded editions include a CD titled “musical selections” of No More Heroes 3 as well as a Santa Destroy vanity plate and an art book.

No More Heroes 3 was released on Switch. I reviewed it and enjoyed the humor and combat, but the overall performance and resolution of the game and the general drabness in the open-world environment let me down. Here’s hoping that the game can benefit greatly when transitioning to more powerful hardware and maybe even throwing in some extras knobs to turn for the PC crowd. I gave No More Heroes 3 a 7.75 out of 10 on the Game Informer scale. To give an impression of NMH3’s potential, here’s a sample.
No More Heroes 3 is steeped in style. The film has many fun references and enjoys being bizarre and eccentric. The opening hour is a dramatic, violent time when the scenery changes. In that time frame, there were four titles cards, and one of them stayed onscreen for longer than I can remember. I’m still chuckling about parts of this game’s presentation days later. Suda and his team from Grasshopper seamlessly plaster sound effects, visuals throughout the UI, menus and cutscenes. It brings back memories of many retro games. Few, if any, of the references feels corny; they’re all part of the game’s DNA.
