Ark: Lost Island, Winter Wonderland 6, and More

Ask Ark survivors and they will tell you that this is a great time of the year. The community can always look forward to the Holiday Season with events like the Turkey Trial or Winter Wonderland. RaptorClaus our well-known helper will return triumphantly to drop off holiday gift bags filled with loot and event items as well as mistletoe for any naughty survivors. Participate in holiday cheer to win new Santa skins, Parasaur skins, or chibis. If you’re out there competing for those epic RaptorClaus drops, please note: In the world of Ark, the holiday season isn’t necessarily the giving season. There will be some competition.

This year presented an opportunity to do something with the community we’ve never done. Our first-ever community creature voting allowed us to incorporate community-requested animals into the Lost Island map. Sinamacrops is a new creature that will be making its debut in the Lost Island DLC. The Ark community was already buzzing about Lost Island before the official map became available. Whether it was the 150 sq km of exploration, the vast mangrove swamps, or the uncharted cave systems, Lost Island’s features piqued the interest of players. It’s a pleasure to close out the year and holiday season by getting Lost Island into the hands of more Ark survivors on more platforms.

The party doesn’t stop next year either! In February, we’ll be spreading positive vibes with Love Evolved and the community will be hopping into a fresh encounter as early as June 2022 in the form of a Nordic-inspired mod community map, Fjordur. Since the community creature vote was successful, we’re bringing it back (with enhancements) for Fjordur. We’re all anxious to see the community’s creativity and passion from the upcoming round of creature submissions!

TAME, TRAIN, BREED & RIDE DINOSAURS, IN A LIVING ECOSYSTEM
Over 50 creatures can be tamed using a challenging subdue-&-protect process. You can wean a feral animal to make it unconscious, then nurse it to health. Once tamed, you can issue commands to your Pet, which it may follow depending on how well you’ve tamed and trained it. Your Pets can continue to grow and eat food as well as carry inventory and equipment. A Pteranodon can be flown over mountains and race with Raptors through the jungle to chase prey. Experience a dynamic ecosystem with its own predator & prey hierarchies. You can breed your pet through generations of different generation to get the best traits. Or put more simply, breed & raise Dino Babies!

FOOD, WATER TEMPERATURE, WEATHER
To survive you must eat and drink. There are many foods with different nutritional values, including human meat. Every action drains food and water. Long-distance traveling is also draining. Your inventory weight can slow you down and your environment is affected by the weather cycle and day/night cycles. Craft clothing, build shelter, and use fire to protect yourself against damage & the elements.

HARVEST, PAINT, AND CRAFT ITEMS
You can harvest ore and trees to be a master craftsman. You can create more powerful and complex gear with your hands or by using a Smithy or Fabricator. Build a massive base using modular pieces–ranging from Thatch, to Wood, to Stone, to Metal. Paint your base and place signs on it that you are able to draw on. Weapons, clothing, & armor gear can also be painted to express your own visual style.

SUMMON THE Ultimate Life ForMS
Bring rare items to special Summon locations to awaken the ARK’s mythical creatures, who arrive ready for battle. These monsters are an ideal end-game goal for most Tribes and their pet pets. If defeated, they will yield valuable items.

RPG STATISTICS
You can level up your survivalist by learning new crafting Engrams and finding higher-level item Blueprints within the most hazardous parts of the Ark. A complex character creation tool allows you to customize your character’s appearance.

HARDCORE MECHANICS
Item durability is a matter of time and they can be damaged or worn out. When you leave the game, your character remains “sleeping” in the persistent world. The persistent world also holds your inventory, which is vulnerable to theft. Permanent loss means death, but you have the option to enslave players for your purposes.

A LARGE WIDE PERSISTENCE
Your character and everything that you have built will be available on the server with 70+ players. Pets can also stay online even if you are gone. With limited-run products, special events with themed themes will be held around the globe.
