Elden Ring patch 1.04.1 fixes Malenia co-op bug, among other changes
Elden RingFromSoftware, a developer, released Wednesday’s fix for the game. This update addresses an unfortunate change to Malenia Blade of Miquella (a notoriously challenging boss) who had never lost – an issue that has been causing a lot of grief. It’s not. Never.) Her ability to heal herself has been restored to her original condition, so she must actually hit people with her sword to restore health.
This month, players discovered that patch 1.04 was available. Elden RingMalenia introduced a new bug to affect players who were summoned to assist others in cooperative play. If Malenia attacked a summoned player, regardless of whether she made contact with them, she’d restore her own health. That was not FromSoftware’s intention, nor was it how she behaved in previous versions of the game.
The rest of Wednesday’s update (version 1.04.1, officially) addresses the following issues, as noted in Bandai Namco’s patch notes below.
How to Fix Bugs
- Corrected a bug that caused the Cerulean Hidden Tear’s effect to be shortened.
- A bug was fixed with Malenia Blade of Miquella, causing her HP to not be correctly healed in an online multiplayer environment
- Fixes a bug which caused bosses to be killed at random times
- Fixed a bug that prevented the boss “Elden Beast” from working properly under certain circumstances
- Some textual errors were fixed
