Nintendo Switch Sports Preview – Is Switch Sports Worth Buying | New Gameplay Today

Wii Sports has been a top-selling game for years. Can a new Wii Sports title match its success? On this New Gameplay Today episode, we’re reviewing Nintendo Switch Sports to see if it is worth purchasing.

Jay Guisao (the game’s editor) and Alex Stadnik (the game’s tester) will lead you on a tour through the various game modes they recommend for new and old fans. Bowling is the first on this list. With the Nintendo Switch’s advanced motion controls, this classic arcade game feels even better in Switch Sports. We get to see Stadnik on the lanes and Jay explains why tennis is Jay’s favorite mode and how it will shine in 2022.

Then we will move on to volleyball. This is Switch Sports’ latest addition to the series. While it might seem difficult, once you get used to the poses, the game will feel right at home alongside all of the Wii Sports games that you’ve played together.

Jay discusses his favorite Switch Sports game, badminton. The players won’t be able to just play mindlessly with the controller, volleying and flailing along with their opponent. They will also have to pay attention to what their competition is saying back to them. The different lines behind the shuttlecock indicate different speeds, and those playing can lose their invisible stamina bar and fall if the volley goes on too long.

We move on to chambara or soccer. First, the game is hyper-competitive and involves hitting one another with swords until one of you falls into the pool. (Nintendo, please call me for more information) This will make you physically and metaphorically sweaty. Similar to Rocket League, the latter requires players to be aware of their stamina and take risks on the pitch in order to win.
