Yakuza 8 Is Called Like A Dragon 8 And Kiryu Is Back Alongside Ichiban

It’s the eighth installment of the long-running Yakuza franchise, and it’s called Like A Dragon 8 

It was created as a sequel to 2020’s Yakuza: Like A Dragon. With a new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga and turn-based RPG mechanisms rather than brawler fighting, it proved to be a huge success with fans. RGG Studio will be following up on the success of Like A Dragon 8 with another game. Below is the trailer of Like A Dragon 8.

Kazuma Kiryu is the ex-protagonist of Yakuza. Kazuma Kiryu was the main character in six of the original Yakuza games. Now he is back with Like A Dragon 8. Ichiban tells Kiryu it’s Hero time – remember, he’s a big fan of the Dragon Quest series which stars plenty of heroes – before the trailer cuts to both of their faces, revealing that some time has passed, with both characters looking at least a little older than when we last saw them. 

Game of Thrones 8 will be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2024.
