Xbox Releases Second Transparency Report Demonstrating the Integral Role of Proactive Content Moderation

It is important to maintain trust and safety in an online environment that fosters a positive and welcoming community. Xbox Safety’s work and team is devoted to protecting players. Players don’t often see, or know about, all of the content moderation measures working in the background that help make their experience safer and more welcoming. Our second update is now available. We have a multi-faceted suite of safety features, including our proactive and reactive moderation efforts. Community Standards are also included, as well as parental controls and family controls like the Xbox Family Settings App. And we continue to work closely with our industry partners and regulatory agencies. Content moderation is a critical investment that combines AI with human powered technologies. This allows us to filter and catch content before it impacts our players. Our measures are designed to give us scale, speed and breadth in order to meet the increasing interactions and activity of our users.
