Xbox Insider Release Notes – Delta (2309.230918-2000)

Hey Xbox Insiders. The Delta ring will soon be receiving a brand new Xbox Update. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

System Update Details:

• Available: 3 p.m. PT – September 20, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – September 21, 2023

The following fixes were implemented in this build, thanks to Xbox’s engineers.

There are known issues

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audiences can be heard by clicking on the following link:

• Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps.
  • Notes: If you experience issues with audio, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”.
  • Include as many details as you can:
    • What was the initial cause of your problem?
    • Is the audio only in your game or app, or is it also system audio?
    • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the problem? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
    • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue?
    • What’s included in your set up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping

• The change in keyboard language will take effect after you close the Xbox Accessories App or reboot your console.

Networking

• The console is not connecting to the network at boot as it should. We’re investigating this issue. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
  • WorkaroundIf your console is still not connected, restart it from the Power Center by holding down the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart.

Upload Your Captures To OneDrive

• You may need to wait if you have a large number of images (more than 1000) that you want to backup. It may take a few weeks for all of your images to be available.
