Xbox Insider Release Notes – Beta (2309.230918-2000)

Hello Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to the beta ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

System Update Details:

• OS Release: XB_FLT_2309ZN25398.2258.230918-2000
• Available: 2 p.m. PT – September 20, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – September 21, 2023

Fixed

The following fixes were implemented in this build, thanks to Xbox’s engineers.

It is not a good system.

• Stability and performance improvements.

There are known issues

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audio

• Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps.
  • Please Note:: If you experience issues with audio, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”.
  • Make sure you include as much detail as possible.
    • When was the problem first raised?
    • Is the audio only in your game or app, or is it also system audio?
    • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the problem? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue?
    • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.

Xbox Controllers Keyboard Mapping

• The change in keyboard language will take effect after you close the Xbox Accessories App or reboot your console.

Networking

• Investigating reports that consoles may not boot up to the network in the expected manner. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
  • WorkaroundPlease wait a few minutes for your connection to be established. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart.

Upload Your Captures To OneDrive

• It may take some time to back up 1000+ images. It may take a few weeks for all of your images to be available.

Use only the best quality Report a problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
