Xbox Insider Release Notes – Beta (2310.231009-2200)

Hey Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to the beta ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!

System Update Details:

• OS Version Released: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2504.231009-2200
• Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 12, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 13, 2023

The Fixes Have Been Implemented

The following fixes were implemented in this build, thanks to Xbox’s engineers.

• Some titles could have an unintentional cursor that would remain visible while playing.

• The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.

Problems that are already known

Some issues may have already been addressed in prior Xbox Insider Release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audio

• Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps. You may have encountered issues if you do not have the most recent firmware update for your television and/or other equipment. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
  • Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Please include as many details as possible.
    • What was the initial cause of your problem?
    • Do you only lose audio in games/apps or also the system audio?
    • Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
    • Is rebooting a solution to the problem?
    • What’s included in your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Play the Game

• A fix for the issue that causes unexpected steering wheel vibrating in certain titles will be released in an upcoming update.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping

• After quitting or restarting the console, your changes will appear if you make the keyboard language change while using the Xbox Accessories application.

Networking

• We are currently investigating reports that the console does not automatically connect to its network when it boots. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.

Use only the best quality Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
