Xbox Insider Release Notes – Beta (2310.231005-2200)

Hello Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to the beta ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!

System Update Details:

• OS Version Released: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2488.231005-2200
• Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 10, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 11, 2023

Fixed

We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:

Installation

• Microsoft Store stuck on 100% after updating or installing? Fixes.

Manage Queue

• Fixed an issue where the border around “When games and apps are installing, you’ll see them here” could extend off-screen.

Use a mouse and keyboard

• Fixes for mouse clicks that don’t behave as expected on supported titles.

The system is a

• The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.

There are known issues

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audio

• Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps. If you are experiencing issues, make sure that you have updated the firmware on your TV or other equipment. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
  • Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much detail as you can:
    • When was the problem first raised?
    • Do you only lose audio in games/apps or also the system audio?
    • Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Is rebooting a solution to the problem?
    • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Enjoy the Games

• Investigating reports that an unintentional cursor remains visible in certain games during gameplay.
  • WorkaroundYou can remove the cursor by disconnecting the mouse or moving it out of your way.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping

• After quitting or restarting the console, your changes will appear if you make a change to your keyboard language while using the Xbox Accessories application.

Networking

• Reports indicate that consoles may not boot up to the network correctly. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
• Workaround– Wait one minute until your console connects. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center or the guide. Find out how to power cycle or restart your Xbox here.

Use only the best quality Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
