Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha Skip-Ahead (2408.231026-2000)
Hello Xbox Insiders. The Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring will soon be receiving a brand new Xbox Update. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.
We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!
System Update Details:
- OS Version Released: RS_XBOX_DEV_FLIGHT25982.1007.231026-2000
- Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 30, 2023
- Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 31, 2023

We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:
The system is a
- The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.
- Please Note:: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.
There are known issues
It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.
Audiences can be heard by clicking on the following link:
- Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps. Be sure to have your latest firmware update for TVs and other devices if you’re experiencing problems. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
- Please Note:: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Please include as many details as possible.
- When was the problem first raised?
- Is the audio only in your game/app, or is it also system audio?
- If yes, does changing the audio format solve the problem? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
- Is rebooting the system a solution?
- What’s included in your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
- You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.

Enjoy the Games
- There have been reports that some games do not allow you to manage your party properly. We are currently investigating.
Networking
- We’re investigating reports that the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
