Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha Skip-Ahead (2408.231025-2000)

Hello Xbox Insiders. The Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring will soon be receiving a brand new Xbox Update. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.
We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

System Update Details:
- OS Version Released: RS_XBOX_DEV_FLIGHT25982.1005.231025-2000
- Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 27, 2023
- Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 28, 2023
The Fixes Have Been Implemented
We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:
The system is a
- The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.
- Notes: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.
Problems that are already known
It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.
Audio
- Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps. If you’re experiencing problems, ensure you have the latest software updates on your TVs and other devices. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
- Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much detail as you can:
- What was the initial cause of your problem?
- Is the audio only in your game/app, or is it also system audio?
- Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
- Rebooting the computer fixes this issue.
- What’s included in your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
- Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Enjoy the Games
- Investigating reports about party management issues in certain titles.
Networking
- Reports indicate that consoles may not boot up to the network correctly. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
Use only the best quality Report a problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
