It is not a good system.

Remember, if you experience issues with system updates, please follow the troubleshooting here: Troubleshoot system updates on Xbox, specifically under the section titled: “Xbox Insiders: I encountered an error while updating a console enrolled in Xbox Update Preview. What can I do?” and file feedback as soon as you’re able.

    • Notes: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.

There are known issues

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audio

  • Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and applications. If you are experiencing issues, make sure that you have updated the firmware on your TV or other equipment. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
    • Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Please include as many details as possible.
      • What was the initial cause of your problem?
      • Do you only lose audio in games/apps or also the system audio?
      • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the issue? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
      • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue?
      • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
      • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Networking

  • We’re investigating reports that the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.

Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
