Xbox Games Showcase: None Of The First-Party Trailers Will Be ‘Full CG’
Microsoft revealed last month it will be hosting an Xbox Games Showcase in this month. This would immediately follow a Starfield direct focused on Bethesda Game Studios upcoming sci fi RPG. Microsoft’s Vice President of Xbox Games Marketing said Aaron GreenbergDuring the show, no first-party game will have “full CG” trailers, as was reported by GamesRadar.
He continues to say that this will mean every first-party video will either be “in-game footage or in engine footage” with a cinematic. Each trailer will also be labeled accordingly so we know what it is. Greenberg posted this tweet in response to someone making fun of showcases that heavily depend on CGI trailers.
All of the first-party games that we have in our show do not feature full-CG trailers. The footage used is a mix of in-engine or in-game video with cinematics. All of our trailers have labels to help our fans understand what they are.

Greenberg began by quoting an Xbox tweet highlighting that the Xbox Games Showcase will be live on June 11 (or six days from now). Greenberg quoted this Xbox tweet in order to say that “roughly, two hours non-stop gaming, Starfield and other games” will take place.
