Witchfire Enters Early Access In September

Witchfire, a dark fantasy shooting game that was previously delayed, now has an early access release date of 20 September.

This news is accompanied by a brand new gameplay video that was premiered at Summer Game Fest and shows even more gunplay with an occult theme. 

Witchfire is being developed by The Astronauts, the team behind The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and centers on an alternate universe war between powerful witches and the Vatican church, with the player working for the latter to hunt down the former. It combines first-person gunplay with supernatural powers bestowed by church. In a blog post by Epic Games, creative director Adrian Chmielarz stated that the focus of early access will be on improving gameplay and adding story elements over time.
