Watch these 3 incredible AMC shows added to Max for a limited time
Warner Bros. has added a new streaming catalogue to Max. Discovery has struck a deal with AMC Networks to host seasons from seven AMC series in a pop-up catalog billed as “AMC Plus Picks.” From Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, Max subscribers on both ad-free and ad-supported tiers can stream episodes of Fear the Walking Dead, Discovering Witches, The Gangs of London, The Killing Eve, Norman Reedus: Ride With Him, Dark Winds” Interview with a Vampire.
That’s a solid roster of hits that are currently only streaming on AMC Plus, and a great way to check out some fantastic television shows that are hard to catch if your streaming options are limited. Granted, it’s also a lot of television, so if you’re short on time, here’s a little secret: The very best shows in this lineup are also the three shortest ones. You can check it out here:
Interview with a Vampire

The best AMC show in years, this is the one I wish more people could see. A luscious, bloody take on Anne Rice’s Southern Gothic opus, Interview with a Vampire is the follow-up fans of NBC’s HannibalA horror story that is both romantic and terrifying. It’s a story told in flashback, as Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) tells a modern-day journalist his history as a wealthy Black man in 1910s New Orleans, and his encounter with the charming Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), the man who will turn him into a vampire.
You can also Like HannibalBefore it. Interview with a VampireIt succeeds by highlighting the homoerotic undertone of its central couple. In this retelling, Lestat’s siring of Louis is not a metaphor for a sexual affair; it’s very much part of a passionate romance with the worst person of all time. Max has the entire first seven episodes, while season two is scheduled to be released in 2024.
The Gangs of London

The first glance is not the best. The Gangs of LondonThe show is a typical crime drama with ghastly thrills, similar to those found in countless other shows, such as Peaky BlindersThe following are some examples of how to use Snowfall. The Gangs of LondonThere is a weapon that you can use, however: RaidThe following are some examples of how to get started: The Raid 2 director Gareth Evans at the helm for the series’ incredible action sequences.
It’s unbelievable to see Evans’ signature brutal approach to violence applied to a television show, and The Gangs of London routinely feels like it’s pulling off something that ought to be illegal — most evidently in the first season’s showstopping fifth episode, a harrowing 24-minute shootout that’s among the best in cinema. Evans eventually leaves the series to begin its second season. This is available for viewing on Max. Check that one out if you’re so inclined, but the first is unmissable.
Dark Winds

Based on Tony Hillerman’s crime novels following Navajo cops Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee, Dark WindsTakes the same slick restraint as pulpy Elmore Leonard adaptions like Justified and applies it to Arizona’s Navajo County for a gritty ’70s-set mystery. Zahn McClarnon plays Leaphorn, a tribal officer who is drawn into an eerie mystery as he investigates gruesome murders that took place in a hotel room. The murders take Leaphorn, his new deputy Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon), and the audience for a tour along the fault lines of the United States’ relationship with just one of its Native nations in a meticulous thriller that, at just six episodes, will blow right by. Just in time for you to jump into season 2, which is currently airing — just not on Max.
