Wargroove 2 Is Coming To Switch And PC

Publisher Chucklefish announced Wargroove 2 today, a sequel to its well-received Advance Wars-inspired strategy RPG.

Wargroove 2 has been developed by Robotality. A new faction is looking to make use of ancient technology to seize the once-peaceful Aurenia. Three interconnected campaigns are used to tell the story, with new commanders. Conquest is also a new roguelike campaign. It requires players to make permanent choices while completing smaller battles and still rely on the same unit, health, or resources.

Wargroove 2 offers four-player coop, versus battles online and offline as well as rule customization and asynchronous playing. In-game editors allow players to make custom maps and campaigns as well as cutscenes that they can share with others.

The first Wargroove was lauded as a fun throwback to Advance Wars when it launched in 2019, so we’re excited to see what Chucklefish has in store for the follow-up. Wargroove 2 doesn’t have a release window, but it’s slated to launch on Switch and PC. Read our review here.
