Update: Black Adam and Stripe From Gremlins Confirmed For MultiVersus Season 1

Update, 3:08 p.m., 8/15/22

Player First Games, which uploaded an in-game startup screen to MultiVersus just a few hours before the deadline, has now confirmed that Black Adam and Stripe were leaked. GremlinsDuring its inaugural season, the fighter will be available for free. Check out this official announcement: 

Season 1 has now been released. Now you may be curious when Black Adam will join MultiVersus. Player First Games has announced that the fighters, along with Morty Smith (and Rick Sanchez) will be joining the MultiVersus roster in the next months. Rick and Morty. Morty will join the game in August 23rd, while Rick will release later in Season 1. MultiVersus will also add new modes to the game in the coming months, including Classic Arcade or Ranked.

MultiVersus finally launched in 1.0, after weeks of beta-testing. Player First Games chose to postpone Season 1. 

The short delay in Season 1 is over. You can view the patch notes that detail every character buff and nerf here. A small leak was also released by MultiVersus and Player First Games today. Twitter user _FireMonkeyMultiVersus was launched and I saw the Season 1 loading screen. This is according to Eurogamer. Because this startup screen showed two characters that were not revealed yet for the roster: Stripe and Stripe. GremlinsBlack Adam.

You can see that Black Adam will be joining the roster during Season 1. Black Adam makes sense – Warner Bros. and DC (and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, for that matter) are in full marketing mode for Black Adam. But, stripe is more like a curveball. This is an amazing addition, but it’s also quite random.
