Ubisoft Anounces New 2D Prince Of Persia

Summer Game Fest’s 2023 show opened with an unexpected, but impressive announcement. The remake of Prince of Persia Sands of Time, which is currently in development is not yet available. However, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown feels more like Prince of Persia’s 2D origins.

The gameplay showed an impressive mix of flashy combat and high-speed platforming – much faster then the methodical platforming that inspired it. It’s not hard to see that the protagonist, historically known as “Prince”, looks like his Sands of Time version, but is otherwise a completely new character.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is released on January 16, 2019. Ubisoft will reveal even more details during the Monday event.
