Turn 10 Studios Gives A New In-Depth Look At Forza Motorsport

Turn 10 Studios and Xbox revealed a new entry to the prestigious Forza Motorsport series last summer. It was designed from scratch for Xbox Series X/S. Studio made high-falutin promises about the experience that it could deliver using the new hardware. Today’s Xbox Developer Direct provided more details on Forza Motorsport, the next sim racing franchise.

Turn 10 Studios calls the entry “a major leap forward in Forza Motorsport Series history.” Forza Motorsport is the first series to have fully dynamic weather and track conditions. This will impact the way cars drive. Track temperatures, surface conditions, and the texture of each driving surface all affect how they handle.

The races will take place in 20 locations with many track layouts at launch. Forza Motorsport’s past titles will be available to fans, along with five brand new locations. Kyalami, which is the first South African Forza Motorsport site in history, is one of them. Turn 10 can display 10x more detail using photogrammetry and laser scan images than previous games. These environments have more vegetation detail and are overgrown with more animated spectators.

Forza Motorsport has a lot to offer in this regard. More than 500 vehicles from real life are featured in the launch game. You can customize each car with more than 800 upgrades and modifications. The vehicles have a unique level of detail that almost anyone will not notice. They are all different from each other in regard to context-aware damage or dirt buildup. Even the type of paint used. A new physics system improves the realistic way cars corner, brake and accelerate. Special partnerships with Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic have made the cars and modifications even more realistic.
