Trek To Yomi Is A Striking Side-scrolling Take On Classic Samurai Films

Trek to Yomi is a stylish action title that may not have been on your radar before, but its latest trailer during today’s State of Play presentation shows off why it may be worth keeping an eye on. 

Flying Wild Hog’s Shadow Warrior developers created the game. The action side-scrolling take is classic samurai film. The role of a young swordsman is to defend his village and make a final vow to the Master he has chosen to kill. The trailer also shows supernatural creatures such as spectral warriors and grotesque swamp animals, which are not human enemies. The bloody swordplay looks even sharper under the striking monochromatic presentation, a stylistic choice that further evokes the game’s cinematic inspirations. 

Trek to Yomi is set for release this spring so we won’t have long before it arrives in our possession. This game is now available for purchase on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
