TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection Patch Adds Online Co-Op To SNES Turtles In Time

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – The Cowabunga Collection has just received its first major update. It includes a number of popular features. TMNT IV, Turtles in Time: Super Nintendo now allows online multiplayer.

It also adds tips for some strategy guides and customizable button mapping to online mode. There are more filters available on the screen for Game Boy titles. In a future update, developer Digial Eclipse promises that TMNT 3: The Manhatten Project will get online play. You can find the complete patch notes here.

New Additions

  • Changed the Home Menu icon to box art. (Switch)
  • Support for the PS4 arcade controller has been added. PS4 joystick support is now available (PS5)
  • Xbox arcade stick now supports. Xbox joystick support is now available (XB1/XSX).
  • The player has the option to set the size of the online lobby for both arcade games when creating it. You can set the limit for your host to only 2, 3 or 4 users.
  • When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the frame delay to “Automatic”. Once this setting is made, the input lat adjusts based on the player count.
  • SNES and Super FamicomTMNT now have Tournament Fighters as an enhancement. Story Mode now allows Ultimate-Attacks to be turned ON/OFF.
  • Super Famicom TMNT has a new feature: Tournament Fighters. “Group Mode” can now be enabled ON/OFF. This feature is only available for the Japanese version.
  • Arcade US/JP Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a new feature. You can adjust the number of lives for each coin from 1-5.
  • Arcade US Turtles in Time now has an additional enhancement. You can adjust the number of lives for each coin from 1–8.
  • Arcade US/JP Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a new feature. The difficulty can be adjusted.
  • Arcade US Turtles in Time now has an additional enhancement. You can adjust the difficulty.
  • Arcade US Turtles in Time now has an additional enhancement. Game Loop is now possible to turn ON/OFF. The game will resume from its beginning when ON.
  • New button action added to “Arcade US/JP TMNT”, “Arcade US Turtles in Time”, “SNES/Super Famicom Turtles in Time”, and “Genesis/MegaDrive Hyperstone Heist”. Players can now assign a button to “Special”. This button presses “Attack” and “Jump” together to make it easier to do special attacks.
  • Game Boy has a brand new color enhancement. GBC Mode ON/OFF added. A new “Color Palette” option added to the Pause Menu for all Game Boy games. Apart from other filters, users can also choose between four color palettes, including 1.black and 2. Game Boy green, 3. Game Boy Pocket green, 4. Game Boy Light Blue
  • Adjusted audio for different games and Main Menu
  • Strategy Guide now includes additional pages on NES Tournament Fighters as well as GEN Tournament Fighters.
  • Strategy Guide now includes additional pages for GEN Tournament Fighters, and GEN Hyperstone Heist.
  • Each game has its own visual settings.

Fixing Issues

  • German translation has been made for the phrase “Punch repeatedly” on Strategy Guide Page 11.
  • Now, in the music player the appropriate icon of the arcade TMNT is shown as the cassette tape icon.
  • Page 5 (SNES Turtles in Time Strategy Guide) has been updated with a Turtle Tip 3 screenshot.
  • SNES Turtles In Time now supports Stage Select Enhancements, even when Options settings have been changed.
  • Stage Select Enhancements in Hyperstone Heist now work when you select 2 players
  • Now works Easy Menu Navigation Enhancement for TMNT 3 Manhattan Project (NES), TMNT 2 Manhattan Project (Famicom).
  • SNES Tournament Fighters have additional credits.
  • SNES Turtles in Time museum manual includes page 18-19.
