The Xbox November Update Rolls Out Today 

The Xbox November update is now available. This update comes just in time to celebrate the holiday season. As we continue to improve Xbox, Team Xbox will be there with you as the central point of the process. We’ll refine the user experience and introduce new features in response to your feedback. This month’s update provides the ability to connect your Discord voice channels directly from your Xbox console, updates to wish list gifting and sale notifications, an improved captures experience for your game clips, and a lot more.

Your Xbox console can connect to Discord’s voice channels

Starting today, we’ve made it even easier to chat with Discord friends across mobile, console, and PC. You can join Discord voice channels directly from Xbox from the console if your Discord account has been linked to Xbox. You can try it by opening the guide. Scroll to Parties & chatsSelect Discord. Scroll through the Discord servers available and choose a voice channel. You’ll see a preview of your friends who are in a Discord server and voice channel before you join. 

S Noise suppression|S

Discord Voice has now been enabled for clearer sound when connecting to Discord Voice via Xbox Series X|S consoles. You can transmit your voice clearly while this feature filters background noises, such as barking dogs or clicking keyboards. You can choose to have your audio unfiltered in Discord. There are many options section.

Wish list gifting and sale notifications – Microsoft Store on Xbox

This holiday, it’s easier to gift from your wishlist! When you share your Xbox wish list from your console or xbox.com with family and friends, they’ll receive a notification to check it out. You can also choose to Give as a gift and have it sent to you, and they’ll receive a notification once you’ve received it.

You’ll also get notifications when items on your wish list go on sale. A new Wish List notification will appear in the guide. It’ll also pop-up as a popup, letting you know when games on your wishlist are going on sale. Also, Store notifications now have new preferences. New preferences have been added for Store notifications. Setting >Preferences >Shop NotificationsYou can choose whether you would like to receive notifications from the guide when items on your wishlist are sold, or if they should not.

Captures App for Gaming Moments – New Integration

We’ve added a new Captures app to your Xbox. The Captures app can be found at the Capture & shareTab of the guide as well as My games & appsThis software allows for better viewing, editing, and management of game clips and screenshots. This allows you to copy game clips or screenshots from your Xbox Series X Xbox Series X|S consoles now provide an increased bit rate for game clips captured in 720p and 1080p.  

Power options with enhanced customization

You can find below Setting > All > There are power optionsYou can see how your console is using power in Shutdown or Sleep modes to determine which one works for you. We’ve also added the ability to further customize your power options, including the ability to turn off the console after a specified period of inactivity.

You can stream live with Twitch and Lightstream from your Xbox console

With Twitch and Lightstream you can start your live streaming directly from Xbox using Streamlabs, Twitch, Lightstream or Twitch. Open the guide to get started. Capture & share >Live streaming >There are many options. Scroll down for more information. DestinationYou can stream via the Twitch and Lightstream or Streamlabs Studio applications. The new integrated streaming experience means that the Twitch app for Xbox consoles can now be used exclusively to view.

Xbox Cloud Gaming beta controller rumbles on Mac and PC   

Cloud gaming will be more enjoyable! For cloud gaming, controller rumble now works on Mac and PC via Microsoft Edge browsers and Google Chrome browsers. Samsung TVs will also be updated in the coming months. Start playing with your controller of choice, such as the Xbox Wireless Controller and Sony DualShock 4.

Recommendations in Settings

We’ve added a new RecommendationsYou will find a section under Settings that outlines the best ways to maximize your Xbox. Your current settings will determine which recommendations you receive. For example, a recommendation to “Set up your audio” will help you play your media to its highest potential.

Want to join a friend’s game? You can now “Ask to join” directly from someone’s profile and not just from the “Happening now” page. Your friend will get notified that you’re interested and can respond with an invite or message.

Xbox Assist has been redesigned to support Xbox One

Xbox Assist has a new name – “Xbox Support”. You’ll notice that we’ve updated the design and articles are now scrollable. It’s easier to navigate to the help articles and manage subscriptions. You can also view order history, review your account settings, monitor active enforcement actions, and check out your order history from your Xbox Support app homepage.
