The Unlock is Here: Riot Games and Benefits Come to Game Pass
All top ARAM masters, meta-breakers and fraggers are invited! Riot’s biggest PC and mobile games are now available to Game Pass members, along with a Malphite-sized heap of additional unlocked benefits and rewards.
Here’s what just got unlocked, plus details on regional availability and some limited-time bonuses for players who link their accounts before January 1, 2023.
The Games and the Benefits
Valorant
You can combine sharp gunplay and tactical capabilities that will change the game. Valorant, Riot’s fast-growing 5v5 character-based tactical shooter. Fight against foes in Competitive and Unranked modes, as well Deathmatch, Escalation and Spike Rush.
All Game Pass Members will be able to unlock the following features starting today:
- The current agents
- Access to every new Agent as soon as they’re released
- Battle Pass, Event Pass and Active Agent Contract Progress receive a 20% match XP boost
League of Legends
You can play one of the most popular competitive MOBA games and an essential part of the MOBA game genre. Get in on the action! League of Legends, a game that blends speed, strategy, and intensity, two teams of five powerful champions face off to destroy each other’s bases.
Game Pass Members will be able to unlock the following features starting today:
- All 160+ champions
- Access to every new champion as soon as they’re released
- 20% increase in XP
Teamfight tactics
Teamfight tacticsPlayers combine to play a strategy game called Auto-battler. League of Legends champions and items in limitless formations to outsmart and defeat seven other players in a match of wits and quick decisions — all with an adorable Tactician by your side!
Game Pass Members will be able to unlock the following features starting today:
- 1-Star Rare Little Legend Tacticians
- Up to 4 Arena Skins are still available, with 1 Arena Skin in a monthly rotation.
Legends of Runeterra
Your success in this card strategy game is determined by your skill. To unlock card synergies or outplay your opponent, mix and match legendary champions, allies and Runeterra regions.
Game Pass Members will be able to unlock the following features starting today:
- All cards from the Foundations Set

League of Legends Wild Rift

Game Pass Members will be able to unlock the following features starting in January:
- The 80+ Champions
- Day-one access to every new champion as they’re released
- 20% increase in XP
Players who connect their Riot Account to Xbox profiles by January 1, 2023 will receive a bonus reward for each game.
- Valorant – Pocket Sage Buddy
- League of Legends – Masterwork Chest and Key
- Teamfight tactics – Little Legend Rare Egg
- Wild Rift – Random Emote Chest
- Legends of Runeterra – Prismatic Chest
Benefits for Game Pass Members in Hong Kong and Indonesia, Malaysia. The Philippines. Taiwan. Thailand. Singapore. Vietnam. League of Legends Tactics for TeamfightIn January 2023, unlocking will be possible. Game Pass Indian members will be able to access all the benefits available for titles on this market, starting from today.
How to link your account and see your rewards
Easy to link your accounts. Installing and playing a Riot game through the Xbox app on PC will automatically prompt you to link your Xbox and Riot Account or create a Riot Account if you don’t have one yet. Once your accounts are linked, your benefits will be unlocked, and you’re ready to play!
How do you access your Benefits?
- Get the Xbox App for your PC, and make sure it’s up to date.
- Open the Xbox app on PC and select any of Riot’s games
- Select Play or Install
- From there, you’ll be guided through the steps to creating a new Riot account if you don’t already have one and link it with your Xbox profile
- After linking your accounts, you’ll receive a notification that your benefits are unlocked and ready to go. It can take up 24 hours to unlock your benefits. Once you get the notification, you will be able to view your unlocked content from your in-game collection with the Rewards Program indicator
