The Last Of Us Episode 2 Broke A Massive Record For HBO

The week before, The Last of Us premiere scored HBO’s second largest debut for an original series since 2010. The second episode of premiere is now available. Last of UsHBO has set another record with “Infected”,

The premiere of “Infected”, which drew 5.7 million viewers on HBO Max and HBO, was a 22% improvement over the 4.7-million viewership last week. That increase is the largest audience increase from a first episode to a second episode for an original drama series on HBO in the network’s history, as first reported by Variety. HBO called it the “largest Week 2 audience growth in HBO Original drama series history,” which further reflects the widespread success of. The Last of Us. 

It is strange that HBO, which usually announces a new or sequel season after a series’ success, hasn’t done so yet. Last of UsHowever, every indicator points to the possibility of a Season 2
