The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom Chapter Launches This June With New Arcanist Class

ZeniMax Online Studios has revealed the next chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online and it’s called Necrom.

Revealed during today’s Xbox Developer Direct, a new games showcase event from the company, The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom brings players to eastern Morrowind, a location studio head Matt Firor says hasn’t been in an Elder Scrolls game since 1994.

Players will encounter Hermaeus Mora, the Daedric Prince last seen in the Dragonborn DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in Necrom. Firor revealed that Necrom would add the Arcanist Class to the MMO. This allows players to channel various types of magic like defensive, restorative and destructive magic.

Firor also announced the new chapter. For a short time only, players will be able to access all chapters and 20 DLCs of The Elder Scrolls Online.

Legacy of the Bretons, the final expansion of The Elder Scrolls Online brought players to the High Isle. The High Isle is an unusual (and sunlit) place and a major departure from everything else in the MMO. Legacy of the Bretons’ yearlong story began in June last year and is expected to end this summer. This makes perfect sense considering that Necrom will launch this June. ZeniMax Online Studios, which was also part of the 2022 expansion, made headlines earlier in this month when Microsoft voted to recognize ZeniMax Online Studios as a union.

The Elder Scrolls Online will launch the Necrom chapter on June 5 for PC and June 20 for Xbox.
