The biggest fall 2023 releases in movies, games, TV, and beyond
Welcome to fall if the summer was busy.
Even though there have been a number of games delayed and Hollywood has felt the impact of both the WGA strike and SAG-AFTRA’s combined force, this fall is full of new releases in every medium. The hard work that all of the writers, actors, and creatives are fighting for is paying off in a big way over the next few months — a good reminder for why we need them.
The new releases span every genre: We’ve got a sci-fi epic in StarfieldOn the horizon is a near future. Mortal Kombat 1.Two Mario games are coming in September. We’ve got big movie sequels like Dune Part 2Risky prequels such as The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and grand-scale dramatists doing their thing (see: Ridley Scott’s Napoleon and David Fincher’s The Killer).
