Will there be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Mutant Mayhem?

Yes! Seth Rogen’s sequel to his new Turtles movie, which was released before the original film was ever shown, had already been greenlit. Even better, it’s also getting a follow-up in the form of an animated TV series that, according to Variety, will “bridge” the two films. It will stream via Paramount Plus for two seasons.

Jeff Rowe revealed that his crew originally thought of making Shredder as the main antagonist. Mutant mayhem, they felt like that wouldn’t give either the Turtles or their archrival the origin story they deserved — and the Turtles were obviously priority one. But that means that Shredder is coming up fast on the Turtles’ list of adversaries.

Is Shredder the antagonist of the television show or movie?
