Take a look at Nine Sols’ action-platformer gameplay in a new trailer

Nine Sols Red Candle Games’ upcoming 2D action platformer is now available IntentionAnd Devotion. We’ve previously heard about the fast-paced game, but getting to see it in action makes it clear that it significantly departs from the usual formula.

Red Candle Games presented us Tuesday with the first view of the new Red Candle Games. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice-inspired deflection-focused combat. Even from these brief glimpses of enemies and bosses in the game, it’s obvious that getting the rhythm of enemy attacks down will be essential. Yi can dodge enemy attacks by using a sword that charges up his Chi. This Chi can be unleashed to great effect. For all sorts of threats, Yi has a huge bow.

Yi will have to defeat the nine Sols. They are bosses of different shapes and sizes who can manifest themselves as Yi. Red Candle Games claims the game is rich in lore and will allow players to experience a Taopunk environment and dark electronic music.

The project has already been funded via Red Candle Games’ website. Red Candle Games expects the game to be available in Q2-2023.
