Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (2006) seemed to conclude the main storyline of the Mortal Kombat franchise. The 2011 entry continued the bloody tale. This entry moved the story forward, reset the timeline and served as a mild reboot. Mortal Kombat returned to its 2D fighting origins. MK 9’s cinematic mode served as a breakthrough for the whole series, as it established the model for fighting games and narrative campaigning. MK9 is also the beginning of Mortal Kombat 1’s modern trilogy. This feature will give you a lot of information about MK9, its development and how it saved the franchise.
