Metal Gear Rising is a spin-off of Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots. It features a cyborg Ninja Raiden as the leader. Platinum Games’ developer Platinum Games lets players take out their enemies in stylish, fast-paced action, instead of hiding in boxes. Since its launch in 2013, Revengence’s action and absurdity have garnered it a passionate internet fandom, but I have a little secret: I didn’t think the game was all that special when I played it at launch. However, years of being inundated with internet memes and being told my opinion is incorrect has inspired me to give Revengece another look. Will I acquire a new appreciation for the game nine years later? Can I slice as many watermelon slices? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
