Super Bomberman R 2’s Arsenal of Game Modes Biggest in Franchise History

The 40th anniversary is Bomberman. In some games that date back to 1980s, the character is often seen as the fun-loving protagonist. Don’t let his cute iconic antenna and expressive eyes fool you; despite his seemingly harmless appearance, he’s never backed down from a bomb fight.

Bomberman and other characters from the series have made an enormous impact in the gaming world. This has earned the admiration of millions across the globe.

We are proud to announce that this fall we will be adding to Bomberman’s rich legacy with the release of Super Bomberman R 2. New story and game modes are added to the Bomberman R game series. Castle, the new battle mode is also included in this latest entry.

Protect the Castle

This is the flagship model of Super Bomberman R 2Castle introduces a new attack-and-defend gameplay mode to the series. As players have complete control over how defenses are set up on the stage this mode is a new way to engage in online battles.

Castle mode allows you to split your team into an attack and castle sides. Each side consists of 15 players. Although it seems impossible to secure treasure chests without a single defender, castle defense players can create stages and set traps and obstacles in order to stop attackers.

They also have offensive capabilities, such as the “Weapon,” a powerful armament that blasts away approaching enemies, and can be combined with familiar bombs to settle the score the classic way.

Meet the Adorable Ellons

Super Bomberman R 2 also introduces fans to the Ellons – adorable intergalactic beings that come in different shapes and sizes to help defend the treasure in Castle mode. Some Ellons shoot fire at the opposing side and others freeze them. The attacking side can’t bypass one Ellon type, which is a type of stony hardness. No matter the method to stop the attack, the Ellons are a great new companion you’ll quickly fall in love with.

Editor: Take to the Stage

The latest version of Stage Editor is now available Super Bomberman R 2, It will delight creative people. For Castle mode, players can make battle scenes from various terrains. Every stage that is created using the Stage Editor can now be shared online so other players have an opportunity to see it. You have the freedom to make new stages and also explore those created by others.
