Street Fighter movie to be directed by duo behind horror film Talk to Me

Street Fighter directors revealed According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming video game adaptation will be helmed by Michael and Danny Philippou, the duo behind one of this year’s best horror movies: You can talk to me. These two directors may not be obvious choices, but they could make the perfect team to bring a Street Fighter film to life.

They uploaded horror and comedy shorts to their YouTube channel RackaRacka. Michael is one of the twins who has some real-fighting experience. He competed in the Logan Paul vs KSI Pay-per-View event as an undercard.

Most importantly though, it’s the Philippou brother’s upcoming movie You can talk to meThat’s the strongest argument for their Street Fighter film. This film premiered in Sundance this past year, and will be released on the big screen July 28. It is an exciting and kinetic horror flick with bursts that are intense and cool. The film follows teens who are using a hand embalmed with spirits as a form of party drugs.

There’s no word yet on when Street Fighter might be released, what the story will be, or what characters might be in it, but with the directing team seemingly being selected, it’s only a matter of time before studio Legendary Pictures announces a bit more about the adaptation.
