Stranger Things Season 4 Trailer Reveals Summer Premiere Dates For Its Two Volumes

It took years to get here after a long wait Stranger Things’ penultimate fourth season kicks off this summer. Releasing in two parts, the season’s first full-length trailer sets the table for dangers new and old the heroes of Hawkins must contend with. 

After the Season 3 events in 2019, the story continues several months later. The Byers family and an implacable Eleven have relocated to California. Hopper is held in Russia. The remaining friends will have to pick up the pieces and start high school. Naturally, the ongoing supernatural menace and the sinister government conspiracy attached to it continue to haunt the world’s unluckiest small town. Per a warning to Eleven in the trailer: “a war is coming. Your friends in Hawkins are very much in the eye of a storm.”

Stranger ThingsThe series 4 contains nine episodes and each episode has a twice the run time as previous seasons. Because the episodes are supersized, they’ll be divided and released in two batches that are five weeks apart. Volume 1 will premiere on May 27th, while Volume 2 will arrive on July 1st. Although it is not known how many episodes each volume contains, one can assume that there are four to five.
