Spider-Man release date for Marvel’s Avengers announced

Spider-Man, your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man will be coming to Marvel’s Avengers — for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players, that is — on Nov. 30. The long-awaited Spider-Man release date was announced by Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics on Thursday. This comes more than one year after Spider-Man’s first announcement as an exclusive PlayStation game.

Marvel’s Avengers’ late-November update will be substantial, because it will also introduce the game’s first raid, Discordant Sound, starring the sonic villain Klaw.

Spider-Man’s arrival on PlayStation platforms will also mean a new event, which Crystal Dynamics is calling the With Great Power Hero Event. A new update was posted to the Marvel’s Avengers website, players will experience Spider-Man’s story “through unlockable challenges woven throughout the Avengers Initiative.”

Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable. In order to defeat this threat, Parker must work with the Avengers and forge a friendship with Ms. Marvel. A Hero used to working as a soloist, he is not comfortable with working in a team. He will he be joining the Avengers full-time or staying independent in his fight against AIM.

Crystal Dynamics is also promising new and improved systems with the game’s version 2.2 patch. Maximum Power Levels are increasing from 150 to 175, and players will be able to get the best high-level gear from the game’s new raid. The game’s new raid will allow players to recycle their high-powered gear and upgrade their existing gear. Shipments will allow players to get cosmetics and other resources. This is a new way for them to spend their Units, an in-game currency that they can use to purchase premium cosmetics. A weekly weekly objective per hero will allow players to earn rewards from multiple heroes.
