Sonic Origins Plus adds Game Gear titles, playable Amy and Knuckles
A follow-up to last year’s Sonic Origins anthology is coming this June, adding all 12 of the Blue Blur’s Game Gear appearances in an edition called Sonic Origins Plus.
Sega scheduled the launch for June 23rd, as Sonic fans all know it to be his birthday. The franchise will turn 32 in that year. Sonic Origins Plus includes the games released in last year’s anthology, in addition to the Game Gear titles, which will be playable in emulation in the game’s Museum.
Amy Rose is a playable character for all four games. Knuckles can be played in one of the other. Sonic CD. And those who have bought Sonic Origins Last year they were able to upgrade. Sonic Origins Plus with a $9.99 Expansion Pack purchased through their platform’s digital marketplace.

Sonic OriginsReleased June 23, 2022 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Windows PCs, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. Sonic Origins Plus The downloadable version and the retail release will launch on all of those platforms for just $39.99. Those who buy the physical version also get a 20-page art book spanning the franchise’s history.
