Resident Evil Village VR Mode Will Launch With PlayStation VR2 As Free DLC

Resident Evil Village’s VR mode will hit PlayStation VR2 the day the new VR platform launches, and it will be available as free DLC to anyone who owns Village on PlayStation 5. The Gold Edition will be available for those who have Village.

To test this mode, you will require the $549.99 PSVR2 hardware. You can not only play through a portion of Village in VR mode, but the whole campaign. This is possible as soon you receive your PSVR2 console.

Ethan Winters, who is using PlayStation VR2 to create a more immersive experience than ever before, takes full advantage the headset’s sophisticated features. VR Mode makes Resident Evil Village’s 4K HDR display and eye tracking more real and vivid than ever.

Capcom claims that the PSVR2 Sense controllers from the platform will give the user an even greater sense of immersion in the new mode.

“These [controllers]Capcom has released an official press release stating that Ethan’s legendaryly resilient hands are represented and enable intuitive actions to be taken in-game. To protect themselves from enemies who get too close, players can raise their arms. VR Mode has new elements to increase immersion such as dual wielding, natural motion controls for firing firearms and brandishing knives.
