Red Dead Redemption Comes To PlayStation 4 And Switch Next Week

Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games of the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 era, and part of that is because it hasn’t migrated from those platforms since it arrived in 2010. Red Dead Redemption finally makes its way to Switch and PlayStation 4 after 13 years.

Rockstar announced today that Double Eleven Studios is creating these ports of the game that include its zombie-themed Undead Nightmare expansion in one package. The news means PlayStation 5 users can also play the game due to backward compatibility. There are also additional languages supported, including traditional and simplified Chinese, Koreans, Polishes, Brazilian Portuguese, Russians, Latin American Spanish, and Polish.

Red Dead Redemption features former outlaw John Marston as he embarks on a journey to locate the Van der Linde Gang to save his wife and children. Its prequel, Red Dead Redemption II, arrived in 2018. If you missed out on the original the first time around, you can pick up Red Dead Redemption digitally on PS4 and Switch on August 17 for $49.99. Physical copies hit stores on October 13. Read our reviews of the original base game as well as Undead Nightmare to learn more.
