Pokémon Go Axew Community Day guide

Pokémon GoAxew will be celebrating Axew Day onThe 10th of June from 2-5 pm in your time zone.

Please remember to keep the following in mind:Look out for dangerous conditionsBefore you go to the parks or outdoor hubs to play, please read this. Your health is way more important than a Pokémon and Axew will be widely available during the December Community Weekend event later in the year, when it will (hopefully) be safer to be outside.

You can find other areas where you can play, such as indoor malls, if that is what you need to do. We’ve had lots of luck just running an Incense at home throughout the event period, so you can always do that to maximize your own safety!

What to expect from a Community Day? Axew It is likely that the shiny version will also appear in large numbers. There are also several other bonuses and perks, which we’ve list out below.

What is the best way to catch an Axew that’s shiny?

According to original research conducted by now-defunct Pokémon community site The Silph Road, Shiny rates on Community Days are about 1 in 24, which means that if you keep playing throughout the three-hour window, you should find quite a few shiny Pokémon.

If you’re short on time or Poké Balls, you can pop an InsenseThen, quickly Tap each Axew to check for shiny ones, running from any that aren’t shiny. Notably, any Axew you’ve already tapped will face where your player is standing, so that should help identify which ones you may have already checked.

What Community Day move does Axew’s evolution learn?

It will also learn the charge move if you transform Fraxture to Haxorus between 2 pm and 10 pm in your time zone. Breaking Swipe.

You can evolve the move during Community Day Weekend in December if you missed it. If you don’t want to wait, you can use an Elite TM to get the move.

What is Haxorus’ performance in the Meta?

Haxorus is a fine dragon-type PvE attacker, if you don’t already have a large collection of Salamence, Rayquaza, and the other powerful Pokémon in the same category. Of course, it lags behind shadow Pokémon, but if you’re in need of dragon-types, you should grab a few powerful Axew and evolve them. Breaking Swipe from Community Day is very helpful for Haxorus, particularly in Master Leagues or some cups. If you enjoy PvP, grab your Haxorus and evolve Fraxure with Breaking Swipe.

What can I do to make the most out of Axew’s Community Day?

The following bonuses are available during Axew’s Community Day.

• Tripled XP for catching Pokémon
• Doubled candy for catching Pokémon
• Doubled chance for level 31+ trainers to get XL candy from catching Pokémon
• Incense can last up to three hours
• Three-hour Lure Modules
• Take special care to avoid photobombs in your photos
• A special additional trade
• Stardust price is halved if you trade it

It is important to pop some Lucky Eggs and Incenses and grab some Axew.

If you can Mega Evolve Charizard X, Ampharos, Sceptile, Altaria, Salamence, Latias, or Latios, you’ll score additional Axew Candy per catch.

Niantic also runs special raids of four stars from 5-10 pm. If you complete the Fraxure Raid, Axew spawns in a radius of 300 meters around the Gym for 30 min. This raid cannot be performed remotely. If the usual 2-5 p.m. spawn increase doesn’t get you the Axew you wanted, you can try raiding for another chance.
