PlayStation 5 Screenshots And Videos Can Now Be Auto-Uploaded To PlayStation App

Game captures like screenshots and videos are becoming more common since the launch of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. It was obvious that the new generation of consoles, Xbox and PlayStation 4, would encourage more people to share their best games.

It is easy to do this on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. You simply capture what you want and in a few minutes, it’ll be automatically uploaded to the official Xbox app. You can then save the image and download it to your smartphone, making sharing on social media easy. However, that wasn’t possible on PlayStation, despite how much players wanted this feature…until now.

This feature has been made available to PS5 users, as you will see from the above video. You’ll need to enable it in your console’s settings and the PlayStation App first, of course, but after that, screenshots and videos under three minutes long will be automatically uploaded to the PlayStation App. They’ll remain there for 14 days and during that time you can save and download any images or videos you want to your mobile device. And, much like with Xbox game captures, this makes it much easier to share your captures with friends and others on social media.
