Pick Up Iconic Gear In The Dying Light 2 Stay Human x The Walking Dead Crossover Event

We announced last month the beginning of Summer of Horrors. This included updates, new events, and even crossovers. It all kicked off with the Good Night, Good Luck update at the end of June, which brought with it a new scarier, darker night experience with Volatiles, the series’ apex predators, roaming the streets come nightfall, a more realistic form of parkour and even more. But as we said then, this was just the start…

Today, we’re pleased to announce our crossover collaboration with The Walking Dead comics. This comic series, which will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary later in the year, has inspired a critically-acclaimed video game and a television series. It’s been 20 years since the events of the original game. Humanity is dying slowly because the virus has won. Aiden Caldwell plays as a Pilgrim that delivers news and goods to the survivors in the darkened lands. Your true objective is to locate your sister Mia who was left behind when you were a child to avoid Dr. Waltz’s tortured experiments. Haunted by the past, you eventually make the decision to confront it when you learn that Mia may still be alive in Villedor — the last city standing on Earth.

In a short time, you find yourself in an area torn apart by war. You’ll need to engage in creative and gory combat, so hone your skills to defeat hordes of zombies and make allies. Roam the city, free run across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot in remote areas, and be wary of the night. Monsters are unleashed on the city streets with every sunset.

The World After the Apocalypse
Fifteen years ago, humanity was devastated by the Fall — a catastrophic event that would change the world forever. People quickly realized, as the Harran virus began to spread across the globe that tomorrow was lost. By 2036, only a few settlements remain, and humanity is slowly dying, making way for the new species out there — a horde of relentless zombies.

DAY’S FOR THE LIVING, NIGHT’S FOR THE DEAD
Villedor, the last bastion of humanity. Daytime, the survivors are still trying to find normalcy and a way of life. Life goes on, relationships are formed, people dream dreams, and the world continues. On the surface, everything seems… fine. Then, it’s sunset. When the final rays of sunlight fade, other inhabitants, even more terrifying, emerge from the darkness of The City to take control of the streets. It is possible to never come back if you don’t stay alert and are out in the dark for too long.

Move to Survive
All fights are not won. Sometimes it’s best to run and, thankfully, you have the skills for it. When the odds are against you, parkour allows you to escape. You can zipline, jump from one rooftop to another, or swing through the cityscape. Whatever you do, experience a unique sense of freedom as you free run across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot or while running away from the dangers of the night.

Get brutal and be creative about it
Only the strong survive in a dangerous world. To survive in this world, it is important to use your creativity. Who says that you have to use weapons? You can use your whole parkour repertoire to jump your enemy. You can feel the crushing of bones and flesh when you use parkour and combat to swing weapons and fend of any danger. And let’s not forget that Villedor has weapons that put the most advanced post-apocalyptic armories to shame.

Four pilgrims are better than one
With friends, it’s much easier to stay alive in Villedor. Join forces with 3 or more players to increase your odds. Take on Pilgrim outpost challenges or wreak chaos on city streets.
