Peter Pan & Wendy Disney Plus trailer takes off for Neverland

Disney’s animated masterpieces are being remade live by Disney. Peter Pan & WendyDisney Plus will be available at the end April. A new trailer shows the Darlings flying to Neverland.

To be fair, unlike most of Disney’s live-action remakes, Peter Pan & WendyBased on Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie’s play that has been adapted many, many times since its debut in 1904. This could mean this version might be better than other live-action remakes. Word’s still out, but at the very least, it has a legacy that spans far beyond animation.

Wendy appears to be especially concerned about major life changes in this story. This movie is supposed to be a reimagining, but it doesn’t seem AllIt is different than the original stories. At least, not as bold as turning Peter into an adult with children, or diving into his origin story, or making Peter Pan actually Alice in Wonderland’s sibling (all versions that have happened). If anything Peter Pan & WendyWendy appears to be experiencing more inner conflict. This trailer might spoil the ending, but there’s only so many possible stories.
