Persona 5 Strikers, Deep Rock Galactic, and Dirt 5 Featured In January 2022 PlayStation Plus Lineup

Update, 12/31/21:

PlayStation revealed earlier this week that Deep Rock Galactic and Persona 5 Strikers were the January 2022 PlayStation Plus games. Now, more details have been published about one of these games. 

First reported by VG247Deep Rock Galactic, which will be available on PlayStation 5, will have some PlayStation 5-exclusive features due to its DualSense controller. The DualSense controller can also be used in-game to control Terrain Scanner. Characters can use the built-in speaker to send you commands, just like they would when digging deep into an alien planet’s surface.

PlayStation Plus’ first batch has now been unveiled. You are a big fan of Persona and arcade racing? You should be if January is your favorite month.

Persona 5 StrikersThe month’s headlines. The sequel to Persona 5 was released in February. It features Joker and his gang on an all-American road trip. Developed by Dynasty Warriors maker Omega Force, gameplay shifts to frantic hack-n-slash action instead of the turn-based battles of its predecessor. Our positive opinion of Persona 5 Straikers can be found here. 

Deep Rock GalacticIt is a popular co-op shooting game that was only made available to Xbox 360 and PC. This marks the game’s debut on PS5/PS4. The game features up to four players as dwarf miners of different classes. These are the people who mine underground caves for valuable gems, while fighting giant alien insects. Deep Rock Galactic’s fun blend of resource gathering and combat netted an 8.5 out of 10 review score from us, which you can read more about here. 

Lastly, Dirt 5 PS Plus will get its version of off-road driving. This latest instalment of the series features a community-made course, a career mode that allows for choice, tight racing, and a long-running career mode. Our review will provide more information about Dirt 5’s offerings. 

These three games are available on January 4. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to grab December’s PS Plus games – Godfall: Challenger Edition, Mortal Shell, and Lego DC Super-Villains – before they make their exit.
